Waqar Siraj

 


Waqar is a Senior Consultant at Bridge. Prior to setting up his own consulting business, Waqar spent over 10 years in business development and consulting in the IT industry, where his keen interest in what makes people and teams in business successful, led him into the world of Leadership Development and Coaching.

Waqar’s main passion is in the area of emotional intelligence and the neuroscience of leadership. He focuses on aiding individuals and teams to manage their talent effectively. He has a deep belief that leaders are truly successful when they communicate in an inspirational way and create a positive climate within which their teams are able to thrive.

Waqar has worked with both local and global business and is fascinated by what makes a particular culture in business tick. His work has found him working with some of the UK’s largest retail an IT organisations and he has a particular interest in bridging the gap between Eastern and Western cultures.

As well as having a deep love of coaching, Waqar spends much of his spare time studying and tutoring in Philosophy and meditation as well as developing training courses for the Lucca Leadership Trust and running charitable leadership development programmes for young people around the world. He is a keen cricket player, often playing in local matches during the summer and eagerly encouraging his three children to be the cricket stars of the future!

Waqar has a degree in Ancient History from Royal Holloway (University of London) and his professional qualifications and training include: Emotional Intelligence Accreditation (Hay Group), Myers Briggs Certification (OPP), FIRO-B Certification (OPP), Effective Coaching Programme (LORE Institute) and the Leadership Development Profile (Harthill Consulting)
