Mike Jones

 


Mike is a Lead Consultant within Bridge and is a specialist in organisation development, leadership and change management. He sees his role as one of being a catalyst and of helping create new possibilities such that people are able to exercise leadership in relation to those things they consider important.

Mike has over 20 years consulting and facilitation experience across a range of large, international organisations. He has a particular interest in ecology and complexity science and in developing new thinking that helps bring about organisational breakthroughs.

Areas of expertise

Mike has significant experience of working with senior teams in helping shape the leadership agenda and in creating the conditions that allow people to flourish and to work effectively together. He is skilled at helping client organisations become more agile and responsive and in ensuring that responsibility for leadership is shared as widely as possible. He has wide experience of designing and facilitating workshops and experiential learning events and working in partnership with clients. He also undertakes executive coaching and mentoring.

Prior to moving into consultancy, Mike held a number of operational roles in prominent organisations including United Biscuits and Virgin.

Outside of Bridge

Mike lives in Stroud and is married with two children. He is a school governor and has also served as a town councillor. He is actively involved at a community level and has a keen interest in sustainability. Mike is a lover of mountains and the great outdoors and enjoys hill walking; he has undertaken two expeditions to the Himalayas (in both Nepal and Tibet).

Mike also has an advisory role with River Simple, a hydrogen fuel car project, supporting them on governance and strategy.

Qualifications and memberships

Mike’s first degree was a BSc in Business Studies and he has also completed a Masters in Change Agency at University of Surrey. He has been a panel member for Sustainable Development UK and is part of the Business & Sustainability alumni group for Schumacher College UK, and a founding member of the Complexity Society.
