Mac McKenzie

 


Mac McKenzieMac is the Managing Director of Bridge Asia-Pacific.

Mac has extensive operational and leadership experience at senior level in both private and public sector. Prior to Bridge, he led the operations team of one of the key global divisions at Reuters with responsibilities for finance, business planning and people development.

Prior to his role at Reuters, he was a management consultant with two of the world’s premiere strategy and transformation firms.

Experience
Mac specialises in designing and delivering pioneering leadership and strategy development programmes. He has worked with senior teams across more than fifteen industries, including financial services, education, climate change, logistics, aerospace, construction and defence.

Example programmes include:

Department of Education
Mac programme managed a major policy commission for a government department of education. The commission addressed one its most pivotal policy decisions. A facilitated process was designed and executed with the leaders of the key education institutions. The policy recommendations were presented to the Secretary of State of Education and adopted into government policy within the year.

International Retailer
Mac designed and delivered the leadership development of one of the world’s most successful international retailers. The programme involved developing the leadership capabilities, communication and influencing skills of the most senior 1,500 leaders within the organisation.

International Climate Change Coalition
This prestigious and powerful government and business coalition is funded by the top governments, banks, automotive, transport and energy firms worldwide. Mac is working with the CEO, executive team and every region worldwide (Asia, North America and Europe) to shape the strategy and leadership required to implement the technologies, government policies and financial frameworks that will genuinely reverse global CO2 emissions.

Personal
He is a dedicated sportsman and mountaineer and is passionate about the role of sport in developing young pioneering leaders. As part of his role at Bridge, he supports the management team of the humanitarian agency Right To Play. Right To Play is an athlete driven organisation that improves health, builds life skills and fosters peace for children and communities affected by war, poverty and disease. In May 2007 he won an award for services to charity. He has also been a mountain guide for Raleigh International. He is married to Catherine and they live with their daughter and son in Singapore.

Mac graduated from Oxford University with a Masters in Engineering, Economics and Management. He is trained and qualified in Neuro Linguistic Programming, Transactional Analysis, Myers Briggs and Systems Theory.
