Jerry Connor
Jerry is one of the founders of the award winning consultancy Bridge and has specialised in the fields of change management and leadership development for over eighteen years. The author of “Why Work is Weird” he has consulted extensively to both the public sector and many of the top global corporations. In 2007 he relocated to Australia to form Bridge Partnerships Australia.
Whilst working in the UK Jerry was involved with clients such as PepsiCo – helping the organisation respond ethically and commercially to the healthy living agenda; McKinsey – winning the War for Talent and building deeper client relationships; Air BP – building a Safety Culture and Marks and Spencer – business transformation. Plus numerous other clients such as HBoS Bank, Mars, Deloitte, Unilever and Shell.
Since moving to Sydney in June 2007, Jerry has been involved in setting up Bridge Partnerships Australia as a hub for supporting clients in the Asia Pacific Region. Jerry has now built teams in Sydney and in Singapore and has supported projects in countries including China, Japan, India, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and of course Australia.
Within the first year of operation in the Asia Pacific Region, Bridge has worked with clients across the region that range from global corporations such as Coles, PepsiCo, SAP, Nokia-Siemens Networks, McKinsey & Co. and Mars to local businesses such as AGL and BankWest in Australia, and Singapore Power and Tesco Lotus elsewhere in the region.
Jerry is a keen entrepreneur and has founded four other organisations in fields that range from development work in Africa to empowering the young. Between 1987 and 2006 he was involved in setting up a number of organisations including:
- Focus – a UK based charity focusing on personal and social development through teamwork.
- Link Africa – pioneering skillshare projects within the educational arena in Africa.
- Coach in a Box – seeking to turn ‘Coaching on its Head’ by offering one to one development solutions at a fraction of their conventional price.
- LifeWorX - building a sustainable and healthy workplace, by providing solutions that focus on long term physical and emotional wellbeing.
