Colin Russell
Colin is currently in his twelfth year as a consultant with Bridge. With 19 years experience of training, coaching and consulting, he chooses to work with people in different positions across private, public and voluntary organisations.
A BT career in Engineering, Sales and finally HR as the company managed its transition from public to private sector, provided Colin with his schooling in organisational and personal change. During his years in HR he ran management training courses, moved into internal consultancy and was finally group manager. It was during his time in HR that Colin began to recognise that he had talent and potential which previously he could only have dreamed of. His quest to help others to unleash their untapped potential and individual uniqueness lies at the heart of the work he does.
Colin’s areas of special interest are: community development, enabling magical environments, changing the world through real and deep connections with others, heart-centred coaching and creating leadership partnerships.
His approach is to connect at a heartfelt level to see, hear and recognise the essence of the client so that they begin to see, hear and accept for themselves who they are and what they offer. He uses a wide variety of models, tools and techniques and natural relating practices according to the requirement of the moment. He has a deep and continuous commitment to developing and growing his own understanding and skill set in service of his clients.
Colin has a Level A Certificate in Occupational Testing and is licensed to deliver the following psychometric instruments: MBTI, Firo B, Firo Element B and OPQ. He is a trained NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) practitioner who looks to weave the philosophy and processes into his consultancy, training and coaching practice. Colin has a level 7 diploma in Leadership Mentoring and Executive Coaching with the ILM. He is a member of the CIPD and a Reiki practitioner.
